Lay Dominicans

There is a group of Lay Domincans from Christ The King who belong to The Southern Dominican Province USA. They are single or married, living a Christian life with a Dominican spirituality in the secular world. They follow the same spiritual path taken by many saints, blesseds, and other holy men and women throughout the almost 800 year history of the Dominican Order.
- Community: Lay Dominicans are a worldwide community, and meet in local chapters
- Liturgy and Prayer: Lay Dominicans strive to make reception of the Eucharist and the Liturgy of the Hours part of their daily life, along with personal meditation and prayer, including the Rosary. This commitment provides the strength necessary for their way of life.
- Study: Study of Scripture, documents of the Church and spiritual/theological writers are the foundation of the Lay Dominicans' continual effort to know the Truth.
- Discipline: Lay Dominicans practice personal penance and simplicity of life. Charity forms the basis for their self-discipline
- Apostolate: Lay Dominicans are active witnesses, striving to compassionately serve others.
